Perton

With a population of around 12,000, Perton is a modern Civil Parish located to the west of Wolverhampton in the South Staffordshire district.

During the 1970s, the village grew around a long row of exclusive houses built along the road between Wolverhampton and Pattingham, which was formerly known as Perton Ridge.

Today, it's a dense and popular residential area favoured by families and young professionals for its close proximity and easy commutability to the rest of the West Midlands, as well as its surrounding countryside and green spaces.

Perton has a large supermarket and a good variety of shops and pubs, as well as three schools, a sports field, a pavilion, two lakes and a woods.

The area's two Christian churches, The Church at Perton and the Perton Christian Fellowship, both play an active role within the community.
